Hey everyone! Well, finally our contest winner, Nevrika, makes her appearance!
Well, I had planned on writing a lot more- but the evening…got away from me. That’s all I will say. I had planned to start posting mini reviews today, but that will need to wait one more week.
If you haven’t noticed, I’ve been pandering a bit and posting some fan service vote incentives. I put this one of our hero up last week, and thought I would leave it up one more day. 
But here’s today’s question. Do the risque vote images bother you? Please be honest. Here are your choices:
1) I don’t think that you should ever post semi nudes. (Neither does Photobucket, they banned the one of Xylia.)
2) Really, I don’t care one way or another.
3) love ‘em. So does everyone else, that’s why they’re voting!
4) I don’t ever vote for nothin’!
Will you please help out the Xylia cause by donating? A $3.00 donation will get you a nifty Xylia wallpaper! It will also keep me going on this. Times are hard, I’m not going to lie. I’m not going to go into that right now either. But if you like this webcomic, and hope to see it update regularly, please consider a donation.

As to the semi-nudity. It doesn’t bother me. Some of the images I find really interesting. Others not so much. Some of the fully clothed images are just as interesting. I guess I fall somewhere between 2 and 3.

Not much time here- got to go to university but must say- LOVE semi nudes! Don’t let photobucket dry your spirit! Viva la revolution! Or something! art is art and yours is beautiful- so I say paint away!

Your semi nudes are always artful. It’s what you DON’T show and how you don’t show it is what makes them tasteful, artistic, and honestly, fun.

NEVRIKA — Perfect!! She’s so cute and funny, and apparently a little knowledgable of Claude. He’s got a Harry Potter thing going, then, with people everywhere knowing about him. Neat
As for the vote incentives…..I love them as I love all your art, though I don’t vote just because they’re nudes. I guess that makes me number 3, so in conclusion…..FIGHT THE POW-ER! FIGHT THE POW-ER!

Hello again! I would say I fall between 2 and 3 also. Semi-nudity in art can be absolutely beautiful when it is done respectfully, like your work. It’s when people incorporate it for gratuitous reason that it becomes cheap.

I think the voting images have been fantastic the last couple of weeks. I agree with ChristineA, Semi-nudity can be absolutely beautiful and you’ve made it so.

Regardless of them being semi-nude, they are beautiful artwork. I don’t think anyone who trul apperciates good art will look at the being nude part… I personally see all of the details to their bodies and think “Wow… I could never draw like that.” Definitly 3. The pictures you’ve posted so far that I’ve seen have all been art, respectfully and beautifully done, not anything else

Honestly, on the nudity thing, I’m okay with everything you have put up so far. Great page today. I hope Claude doesn’t succeed in sneaking off without Livy.

About the incentives, again between 2 and 3. As long as it remains the way you have been doing it, It will continue to be an incentive to me!

honestly i don’t think there’s anything wrong with semi-nudes, when it’s in art it can be beautiful. the human body is nothing to be ashamed of, it should be celebrated!

I love the comic, and your art is awesome. I must admit though, I’m not fond of semi-nudes. Yours are always tasteful, but I think clothed individuals can portray the same thing and leave the rest up to imagination.

Hmm.. Claud. I wouldn’t think of myself as dead either. xD I love his thinking face.
As for the pictures, as long as they’re tasteful, I don’t mind–actually I love ‘em :D, and I haven’t seen any ‘inappropriate’ pictures in my book.

I say go risque as hell. Not all that excited about Claud, but there’s something sexy about a provocatively posed fairy (female, of course).

I’m not keen on an overabundance of nudity (as some webcomics I used to read started resorting to), but as long as it’s not overdone, it doesn’t bother me in the slightest. If you like to draw semi-nudes every now and then, go for it ^^

I have no problem with full or semi-nudes. That said, the reason I no longer vote is that the voting sites now seem to want me to accept *ALL* cookies and I only accept session cookies.

And kyastar brings up a point — no bs or ps have been showing, there hasn’t been anything really “heavy hitting” (you SHOULD know what I mean)…..I really do almost wonder why the one pic was taken down. Guess it just went too far.

Barb, I have to go along with what ChristineA and lisabond said, your nudity (semi or otherwise) is done with respect and class, as opposed to those who use nuditiy to try to cover up the fact that they really don’t have a story

Finally actually put in a vote (sorry I didn’t before, my only excuse–being a lazy, Evil Arrogant B@$+@rd–isn’t much of an excuse).
Given the quality of your art, nudity or not shouldn’t even be an issue: there’s no way its artistic value should ever be in question (which is the only case where there ever should be an issue, IMNSH^H^H^HAO). Sorry to hear that some don’t see it that way.
Keep up the great work, and be true to your story and to your heart, especially in how you choose to present it!

I caught the pun because I love puns, even if I groan about one I’m enjoying it. This one, however, was excellent, because it was so well hidden that it might have been a coincidence. Still, I’m surprised nobody before me noticed it.

I’ve yet to see any art of yours I didn’t like, but honestly, I probably didn’t even notice if a picture was “risque”–I guess that’s what happens when you grow up around a bunch of nudists.
